These are extrajudicial murders. The U.S. deserves whatever counterattack these people’s families come up with.

We need an actual mass movement to fight fascism. Imagine a world where C didn’t attack anti-genocide protesters. What if they hadn’t been fighting criminal prosecutions, civil lawsuits, and student conduct hearings? Many protest but their ranks are thinned. People like C made the takeover easier.

Chemerinsky involves himself. He constantly weighs in, and in this instance, he paved the way for Trump’s attacks with baseless attacks rooted in an intentional conflation of anti-Zionism and antisemitism. I agree Trump doesn’t need an excise, but C is making it easier. That’s why he’s complicit.

You don’t get to take credit for ending a war when you’ve been paying for the war the whole time and it would have always ended the minute you stopped paying.

This is like hiring a hitman to murder your neighbor, calling off the hit, and then taking credit for your neighbor being alive.

Any serious person knows Chemerinsky helped produce this moment. He conflates anti-Zionism with antisemitism. He attacks law students for protesting genocide. He joins baseless lawsuits alleging "rampant antisemitism." He teed Trump up to attack UCs for antisemitism and use his own words as proof.

Chemerinsky's repeated claims of "rampant antisemitism" at the UCs, along with the capitulation of UC officials in settlements in lawsuits like Frankel v. Regents, and Biden/Bass/Newsom's constant condemnation of "antisemitic" pro-Palestine protesters gave Trump everything he needed.

A judge has recused from hearing the Portland troops case because his wife is a Democratic Congresswoman -- even though it is not "required under either federal law or the [judicial] Code of Conduct." The new judge was appointed by Trump.

Any strategy to resist Trump's authoritarianism must also include plan to help vulnerable people leave this country, or protect them while they're here.

If not, a bunch of political dissidents you know are going to be arrested and/or killed.

Political dissidents were forced to wear the red triangle badge in the camps.

Today, unhinged lawyers argue the same symbol is a "true threat" of violence in the anti-genocide/pro-Palestine protest context.

A federal court in LA recently agreed, but movement lawyers are fighting the decision.

Now that @pbsnews.org and @npr.org are no longer beholden to federal funding, it's even more clear how routinely they fail to accurately portray what is going on in the US right now.

We should only support if they start taking seriously their journalistic obligations under fascism.

if you still think we "might" be entering fascism, keep in mind Trump's been murdering people in the Carribean bc he says they are "designated terrorist organizations" (DTO), a made up thing.

Now, he has designated "antifa" as terrorists, meaning anyone he calls antifa can be murdered.

it's not just that they are fascists or that Biden knowingly handed the keys to the military and the fed to them.

It's that they are always on message. Trump will blame dems and praise himself in a dependent clause responding to a question about the weather at the drop of a hat.
