Possibly amusing tangent: Your VS playthrough was actually a direct motivator (well, that and neurodivergence) for my Last Remnant PC run a few years later, in that I didn't think I would be satisfied until I got my squads into a similar stat-perfect formation for the final Conqueror battle.
