Added the 1951 Topps Blue Back to complete my Topps/Bowman run of Tommy Byrne. We share a last name, so I call him Uncle Tommy. I have a few obscure ones left to chase. #cardsky #thehobby #vintagebaseball

I got this awesome #ttm return from Bill Greason today. He will turn 101 in five weeks. He is a veteran of WW2 and Korea. He played for the Birmingham Black Barrons, where he was a #NegroLeague All Star in 1949. He also signed my letter to him with a short note. Thank you, sir! #cardsky #thehobby

Exciting #mailday brings my first 1967 Kabaya-Leaf. This is a pioneering set in #npb cards (+ exceedingly rare). It marks the transiton Menko/Bromide era (essentially Japanese tobacco cards) and modern form factors. Tiny pop. Only dozens exist. #cardsky #thehobby #baseball #japan

Julio Franco ended his MLB career with a .298 ⚾ average and hit his last homerun at 47. He is 66 today and rumor has it is still gets at bats in the Mexican League. 🤷♂️ He had a stint in Japan #npb too. I picked up his 84 Topps RC recently 😎 #thehobby #cardsky #junkwax #baseball

It's not a valuable card, but when I remember in 1988 when Orel Hershiser was unhittable. 7-year-old me tried to imitate his unique pitching style. RC came in the mail today, nabbed from on TC Fever search for a penny plus $1.25 shipping. Cool to me!! #thehobby #cardsky #dodgers #junkwax #tcfever

NEED FEEDBACK: Am I the only one who finds eBay search difficult? I spend a long time getting the filters just so, adding exclusions for reprints, etc. Once I finally get them right, I'll change the search term, and it'll lose all my settings. GRRR!! Tony Gwynn was on my rookie bucket list. I picked up a couple last weekend from a local guy selling off his dad's cards. Both have sharp corners. Keeping centered one for my PC. Feels great to pick up RCs from the greats of my childhood! #cardsky
