The CFPB has:

-Returned $20B to victims of financial fraud
-Cracked down on junk fees
-Fought against politically-motivated debanking
-Protected veterans from predatory lenders
-Protected consumers' data from corporate abuse

Oligarchs want to reverse all of this.
Laws Are Not Suggestions: How the CFPB Is Delivering for the American People - American Economic Liberties Project
Under Director Rohit Chopra, the CFPB has held scammers like Wells Fargo accountable, returning billions of dollars of Americans’ hard-earned money to their bank accounts; fought back against Wall Street and Big Tech’s discriminatory and anti-competitive behavior; ensured violating the law can no longer be written off as just a “cost of doing business;” and restored financial freedom to millions of Americans held hostage by the credit reporting cartel.

Trump fired the NLRB's pro-worker general counsel and its acting chair.

He's effectively gutted the agency tasked with defending the rights of workers to organize.

Guess who has recently filed lawsuits aimed at invalidating the agency altogether?

Amazon and SpaceX.

The federal funding freeze will be catastrophic for everyone.

There are immediate and long-term impacts across housing, healthcare, employment, education, retail, food, public services, and more.

Tell your elected official to fight the freeze immediately.

NEW — OMB temporarily pauses all agency grants and loans programs.

Per copy of memo: "The use of Federal resources to advance Marxist equity, transgenderism, and green new deal social engineering policies is a waste of taxpayer dollars that does not improve the day-to-day lives of those we serve."

Goal for today is to resist the hypernormalization of fascism by imagining and cultivating collective strategies of resistance. I’m talking about mutual aid systems, neighborhood ICE watches, civic journalism. Looking to grow my collective liberation toolbox.

When evangelical Trump supporters chose a president who promised to take their personal worries seriously, they were choosing in accordance to their faith.
