Morning, Happy Tuesday

Happy Gratitude Day! May peace, love, joy and plenty grace our lives and guide us to a generosity of spirit that cannot be discouraged, even in these difficult times.

Happy Gratitude Day! There are some things that get on my nerves, but it’s so worth the minor
hassles to connect with family for a few days. Mom’s turkey is over the moon good, can’t wait. It’s been many years, ten I think.

My mom is blasting Fox News, so I’m holed up in the back room so I don’t have to listen to that garbage.

I need the quiet time anyway.

In Santa Barbara, the skies are blue and the surf is gentle, but stars help me get through this family visit with some semblance of sanity 😱

Caught the sunrise and am now recharged and ready for my mom and family in Santa Barbara.

Onward!

Eating oysters on my room balcony while watching the sunset and listening to the surf.

Oregon coast oysters are so fresh and delicious, I’m trying to cram in as many oyster meals as I can while I’m here. Every restaurant prepares them slightly differently so I never get bored with them.

I definitely have a favorite though—crispy oysters at Catalyst by the Marina.

Watching cbs news doing a story on a jail that has a recovery program that has reduced their recidivism rate down to 23% (!!!)

“What’s the secret sauce?” Asks a reporter.

“Love.”

My heart just grew ten sizes.

Tell me something lovely
November 13, 2025 at 12:16 AM
I just finished tying slip knots for a bunch of adjustable clay pendant necklaces. My fingers are raw and I gotta say, fussy work requiring readers and and a load of patience with the do-overs is just not my jam.

But they are lovely and I’m glad it’s done #potterproblems #clayplay #ceramics

If I’m talking about dinner or TV or the dog, I probably don’t want a bleak joke about the state of the world. I promise: I know about it.

🚨HEY DENVER, GO LOOK AT THE SKY!!! 🚨

Never seen aurorae this good before. 🤯 They were totally naked-eye around 9:45pm from south Denver, bright red and green. They're coming and going, so if you don't see anything at first, try again later!

Look to the helpers, yes. But also look to yourself, because it’s up to you to see the beauty and art and spiritual satisfaction in living life fully in every moment no matter what. You discover—love for life is resistance. Joys, loves, sorrows.

Look to yourself because you’re one of the helpers.

An afternoon of grinding glaze after a glaze fire mishap. As soon as I get cocky and fire a new glaze without the use of cookies, the kiln gods gleefully teach the lesson.

I saved 3 shelves today. There’s grace in the clean slate of sanded shelf surfaces with newly applied kiln wash #potterproblems

When your party doesn’t even try to reflect the basic values you hold dear, you don’t want that as part of your identity anymore. It doesn’t fit and it feels too embarrassing and cumbersome to wear.

Also, money donations don’t buy anything but condescending lectures after they tuck tail and run 🙄

The Democrats in the Senate created a lot of new Independents today.

Congrats, you nitwits.

Well that was a squirrelly scabbard of supercilious snail snot.
That was a turgid tankard of turtle toss.

This is a good reminder—the Dem party are establishment. When the establishment is corrupt, they are too.

Take time to lament, gnash teeth, pull hair out and scream. Denial is no longer an option.

Then get back in the fight for your life, as well as the lives of anything and everyone you love.
November 10, 2025 at 4:07 AM
I don’t have a lot, but not only will I IGNORE and block all aggressive pleads for money in the future to the Dem party in general, but I will aggressively GIVE what little I have to anyone who primaries these sellouts.

We need more Bernies and AOCs. ASAP.
I will donate to anyone that primaries a democrat that caves in this fight.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.
