Hey researchers with ICE data. I’m a cartoonist who is also a nerd about politics, law, justice, and fighting fascism. If you have info and analyses that would be good to visualize into an infographic or short comic to inform the public, hit me up. Let’s Voltron.
This is related to my relentless focus on ICE since blaming immigrants for all your problems (and thus supporting their kidnapping torture and imprisonment) is the thing this year

On Reddit, a post shows the ways in which 287(g) agreements, combined with ICE's mass deportation efforts are making a total hash of the the basic functioning of a fair system — a man in Florida was pulled over for a traffic stop on his way to an asylum interview and is now detained in Colorado!

The people who don’t get why immigrant families are keeping their kids home in fear while CBP and ICE kidnap immigrants are the same ones who don’t want teachers to teach US history as it actually happened because it might make some white kids feel uncomfortable.

Love New Orleans, fuck ICE and CBP
The people of New Orleans have created an incredible grassroots community intelligence service to track the feds as they hunt the city's immigrants. A real good cops vs. bad cops dynamic being replicated across the country right now.

The 287(g) program lets local police work with ICE. That means a traffic stop or small issue can turn into an immigration arrest. It’s one of the ways ICE reaches deep into communities.
