1/Tdy is 10th of Muharram (Ashura) in the Islamic Calendar & has significance for a number of historic events. The greatest of which was the martyrdom of the Prophet Muhammed's (pbuh) grandson Hussein (RA) at the Battle of #Karbala in 680AD. Many other events share the biblical narrative. Here's 🧵👇🏽
