Just a Brit walking through the Moors of life. Sometimes howling at the Moon, sometimes working on my first YA book.

Guess I should start making a bit of a space here.
My first YA novel is still a work in progress but this is the main character Aaron Conners. A newly made English werewolf dragged into a hidden world of Werecreatures, Eygptian Gods and Canadians.

It's #werewolfwednesday and I thought I'd share something that maybe people outside of the UK have never seen.
Werebears.
Cuddly soft teddy bears that if you flipped their heads and paws inside out became terrifying monsters. Made by Hornby in the 80's. I always wanted one.

You don't have enough followers for a Makeship plush campaign YET! You'll get there! You've got a unique and engaging story with some brilliant characters. I have faith more people will discover you in time! :)

So there will be a few songs with ukulele backing sprinkled through the movie? Yup. Shes already got the feel of a Moomin production already.

Probably Maria. Not that the others wouldn't also be good but they are generic looking toys from a first glance (which is the point. You don't see their unique quirks until you look closer.) Maria however is instantly recognisable and you know exactly who she is and where she's from.

They should have had Hank Azaria voice Denim.

I never got round to watching it. I know the plot but I'd probably go crosseyed sitting through it.

Bit late for #werewolfwednesday but just in time for #weretober. Friend found an early drawing of the werewolf form for my character Aaron Conners from over 25 years ago. It still holds up pretty strongly though there's a few changes I've made to his design since which I'll eventually draw out.

You're welcome. I had hoped to tell you in person at the writing course at the end of October but I couldn't get the time off work sadly. I'm sure there'll be another time though. ^_^

Finished the Legend of Viking Thunder by @mglnrd.bsky.social a couple of days ago and it was great. I like where the story is going and all the new possibilities and mysteries that came with it. I can't wait to see where they go next! The cover is up on Amazon already and it looks very exciting!

My copy just came through the post. Been looking forward to reading this since I discovered the first book back in Febuary.

A little late to #werewolfwednesday but I wanted to share the homage I made to Richard Corben's masterfully composited panel from "Werewolf' (1984) #thefarmerandthewolf.
A panel of a werewolf blocking the woman's path, the forced perspective makes it look like she's already in the wold's claws. The composition is further accentuated by the moon forming a halo around her head. GOOD SHIT GOOD SHIT. S-TIER COMPOSITION AND FRAMING!! ...and then there's mine, I'm still really proud of this comp. I think it stands really well on it's own while still taking inspo from Corben's composition.

Happy Spooky Month!!!

Heres some DTIYS art I did last fall for the release of #TheFarmerAndTheWolf Chapter Two! 🌽👩🏾‍🌾🐺🐔🌝
A young farmer, Emmaline, holds her suspicious chicken, Queenie, as the claws and eyes of a werewolf loom menacingly behind her in a cornfield bathed in red. That's some spooky business.

Folks, I'm in the undeniable position of having to learn more about how I can incorporate AI and LLMs into my daily workload (for my real job, not my drawings), so I gave Chat GPT a very simple task of finding reviews of my book. It started off promisingly:
A screenshot from Chat GPT listing a number of positive quotes from reviews of my book. The quotes are presented authentically with attribution from various sources.
