Hey, I haven’t been around here much. I’m truly sorry about your mom. I can’t imagine going thru that and then realizing you’re the last woman standing in the family. I admire you for all you did for your mother especially regarding her housing situation. I know that wasn’t easy.

Then the second batch seized for some reason when I added the warm butter, so I spent 30 minutes or so rehabbing it. Fortunately, it worked.

Now I have my cheesecake ingredients coming to room temperature before baking, cooling, and refrigerating it for tomorrow.

I’ve begun the prep for all the things I can prep ahead of time. I prefer to make the cornbread tomorrow, but that’s a simple task.

The salted caramel was giving me fits, but I got it done. Next time I may use store bought, quality caramel. I had to dump one batch and start over.

I just made some cinnamon rolls with an optional overnight proofing step. I made them the regular way, but for Christmas, I’ll go the fridge route overnight before baking. They were good as is, they should be amazing with the fridge proof.
