It was actually therapeutic giving my characters my problems and helping them solve/fix everything by the end of the book. Yay for free therapy?

But I get it. Tastes are subjective, of course.
And some people deal with sadness by exploring it, while others deal with it by masking it.

But, yeah, I get enough travesty in my nonfict... Probably because I'm all too well aware of it is why I shield (so many shields!) myself with hopeful art.
Same reason I play happy, uplifting music.
