To be fair, this position is shared by 99% of policymakers around the world, including those who quote IPCC reports in every single speech they give.
The problem with absolutely everything @mattyglesias.bsky.social says about climate and energy is that he believes we can keep expanding fossil-fuel production and still cope with climate change anyway. He ignores or denies the science of both mitigation and impacts. That's all.
Of course it’s not a sufficient take on climate damages nor do I say in the piece that it’s a sufficient take on climate damages.
