Meet the unusual creatures called, Bunyips!

Meet the strange and unusual creatures called the Bunyips! Named after the Aboriginal mythological creature known to haunts rivers, swamps, and billabongs-- these Bunyips are very different from their Aussie cousins. In fact, the "bun" in the name is quite literal, but don't be fooled. Bunyips are seemingly normal looking bunnies until you see their four eyes, odd colors, and that grabber tongue that stretches over six feet in length! The tongue also serves as a secondary mouth to ingest larger prey up to four times their size. These little guys live just about anywhere and are able to climb like tree frogs and geckos! This bunyip is striking shades of yellow-green, green, blue, and orange. The body sports large and complex spots with some interweaving striping that continues on the neck, rump, and legs. On the stomach and rump are both two orange spots on top of the purple. In the upper left corner is a bust of the bunyip with it's mouth open to show it's grabber tongue. The tongue is tipped bright yellow-orange, fading to magenta and then a bright cyan blue. In the lower left corner is a close-up of the bunyip's eye. This bunyip is a striking shade of orange on the head and while the body is bright blue. On the blue sections of its body there are large and dark blue spots with some interweaving that continues on the neck into peach and white. In the upper left corner is a bust of the bunyip with it's mouth open to show it's grabber tongue. The tongue is tipped bright yellow-orange, fading to magenta, soft yellow, and then a warm purple. In the lower left corner is a close-up of the bunyip's eye. The eye is the same soft purple as the tongue's base while the iris is cyan and pink, the pupil is yellow. This bunyip is a mix of earthy shades of brown and beige with darker shades on the head and feet. There is a notable blaze of beige down the center of the forehead. All over its body there are large and complex rings with some interweaving striping in shades of cyan-green. For the most part! It was back in September. I was sitting on the stairs with one of the kitties when I had it, thankfully only three stairs up. So didn’t have far to fall but it was hard enough. x n x

A being with the soul of a wolf and the magic of a witch. They are capable of casting spells and shapeshifting to navigate the mysterious world around them. They are built similar to the mythological faun with wolf legs instead of goat legs while the upper half is human. This particular spirit has a unique coloration and pattern across their skin and fur like vitiligo. Their skintone is a soft golden brown like an autumn leaf, the fur also a dusty soft brown with patches of white in random spots. The patterning looks like a thin layer of snow on a fall day before snow usually falls, the being's coloration peeking through like the brilliant autumn leaves. A being with the soul of a wolf and the magic of a witch. They are capable of casting spells and shapeshifting to navigate the mysterious world around them. They are built similar to the mythological faun with wolf legs instead of goat legs while the upper half is human. This particular spirit has a bit of a literal sense of the word, carrying the sweet fruits and flavor of the famous drink. They wear a crown and ankle bracelets made of slices of peaches, lemons, limes, oranges, cherries, and pineapple. Around their neck is a necklace made of two lime slices and to cherries with cubes of ice to create a pattern. The spirit's body is deep shades of red like the wine used to create sangria, the skintone being the lighter shade while the fur is much darker. Atop the spirit's head is an orange and yellow wolf skull mask with ridged, curved horns with a piece of lemon and pineapple on the ends. This bunyip is the grey blue of the nightsky with splotchy cream colored markings on the rump and face to look like clouds. The same cream color is on the underside of the body and tips the toes/feet. On the forehead and hip are star shaped markings that glow. Around the eyes in the white cloud markings there are two small crescent moon markings as an accent. The eyes are a bright blue with a vibrant double colored iris of lilac and white, the pupil bright yellow.
