Sooooo….my husband calls our GP to ask about getting measles boosters. We are both vaccinated, but we were vaccinated when it was a single shot. The office called back and says we can’t get boosters unless we’re tested for antibodies first. Ok, can we get tested? She says the tests aren’t 1/2

Maybe stop dropping all phone calls to all of your offices. Coward.
The weeks of performative “resistance” from those in my party were limited to undignified antics.

Voting to shut the government down will punish millions or risk a recession.

I disagree with many points in the CR, but I will never vote to shut our government down.

russia needs war,
Ukraine needs peace (but not at any cost).

russia cannot wake up from the empire dream,
Ukraine wants to be a prosperous democracy,
free from any imperial chains and future threats.

However, I believe there is more at stake now than just Ukraine.
You may feel it, too.

The coolest thing I’ve seen today is that a bunch of volunteer public health professionals and developers have restored the CDC website from before January 20th 2025.

This differs from an archive in that they want to rebuild the links between pages and replicate the full website.

Question: what about the access they had over the last week? I’m not a tech person, at all, but if they’ve downloaded spyware (not sure this is the correct term, again not a tech person) or some other way of getting into the system, what’s to stop them now?
NEW: Treasury Dept agrees not to let anyone who isn't a current, regular (non-SGE) employee access its payment system/records, with the exception of Tom Krause and Marko Elez, who will have read-only access.

The agreement will last until the judge decides whether to grant a preliminary injunction.

Make sure @johnfetterman.com gets the memo since his offices too the phones off their hooks.
Absolutely. Grind it to a halt.

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

I’m not an expert, but I’ve read enough to understand that the Great Depression

1) Started with a financial crisis (removal of FDIC protections)
2) included an agricultural crisis (migrant deportations)
3) broadbased tariffs resulted in mass unemployment and high inflation.
When there weren't enough bank examiners on the beat, SVB and Signature Bank failed, requiring big bailouts.

The FDIC should explain why it’s now axing even more examiners whose job it is to make sure big banks don't crash our economy.

Two of several reasons why I canceled my Prime when it was up for renewal.
increasingly unclear what the point of Prime is now that the shows all have commercials and shipping has gone from 2-day to "idk maybe next week"
