It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

“We’ll be selling oil in large amounts to other countries,” Trump tells a reporter after kidnapping Maduro, announcing “we” will run Venezuela.

This lawless thug and his criminal henchman have abandoned the international order.

Yes, there is no bottom.

CBS Folds Again, Cancels 60 Minutes Segment on Epstein Cover-up After DOJ Pressure
The Justice Department had a chance to show backbone on Jeffrey Epstein. Instead, it offered opacity, delay, and a reminder that accountability still has a VIP section.

Ok, so Canada can indict Trump for bribery, bomb Washington DC, and send the Mounties to round him up. It's that how this works?

This is effectively might makes right by Vance. The US does not have sovereign authority over foreign leaders.
Vance pushes back and says this was not illegal, arguing "Maduro has multiple indictments in the United States for narcoterrorism. You don't get to avoid justice for drug trafficking in the United States because you live in a palace in Caracas."

They’re telegraphing their punches.

They always do.

Cuba is next on their list.

And Greenland is on the list too.
It’s happening. The table has been set for weeks and I long predicted he’d go over the holiday break.

"Russian commentators have frequently suggested that Latin America lies in America’s domain just as Ukraine was under the Russian shadow. Vladimir Putin thinks the same of much of eastern Europe. Xi Jinping will draw his own conclusions."

Apparently this attack was originally planned for Christmas.

Venezuela is a case study in how letting the leader of a failed coup evade serious punishment and go on to participate in electoral politics can lead to the destruction of liberal democracy and the establishment of an illegitimate authoritarian regime. Good thing that could never happen here.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

Trump and his cronies can try to dress this up, but it is an illegal act of war to replace Maduro and grab Venezuela's oil for his billionaire buddies.

Honestly, if I were a Canadian lawmaker, I'd be demanding a huge military build up on the southern border. If Trump can snatch Maduro, then say the US is gonna "run" his country, he can do that for any leader of any country. He's ALREADY making the same noise about Mexico. Why not Canada, too?

It isn't about fentanyl.

If so, he would've attacked Mexico and China.

It isn't about drug trafficking.

If so, he wouldn't have pardoned the President of Honduras.

It isn't about election integrity.

If so, he wouldn't have tried to steal an election here.

It's. About. The. Oil.
