The military has the largest budget out of the government by a considerable margin. Yet DOGE isn't setting up shop there under the guise of improving efficiency. Makes you wonder if efficiency was ever the point.

One of the details that's interesting about this study of almost 5,000 people and 6 years of data is how recipients of monthly unconditional income smoked half as many cigarettes a day and drank less than those who didn't get the money. They also were more physically active and got sick less.
