I was just listening to Stratechery yesterday where he talked about Meta betting on open source and to take the lead in AI.

LOL, why not AWS?
In hindsight the big mistake I made with my kids was teaching them to talk. That wasn’t ever gonna go well.

LOL, why not AWS?
Amazon does not start from monolith probably likely b/c they have powerful AWS building blocks at hand and much cheaper prices.
Amusing to see the hardline monolith crowd cheers with glee and pronounce they were right anytime a company shares how they want from microservices to monolith; and the other way around: the microservices crowd cheer when a company breaks up their monolith.
Like tabs vs spaces.

I just gave a quick read of the ATP docs. They are pretty good and the design decision seem mostly sound. A few things I'd do differently but not major.
