When laparoscopic examination is performed on women with severe pelvic pain, 45% have #endometriosis lesions.

When it's performed on women with NO pain, 44% do.

Pelvic pain is real. The role that #endometriosis lesions may (or may not) play in that pain is debatable.

Nearly five years after publication, and after 4,000 retractions, the paper that sparked the use of hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 has been retracted.

Me, a public health person, just sitting over here reflecting on the fact that the US has experienced a 7% increase in infant mortality post-Dobbs.

Like, do you realize what that says about this society from an ethical perspective? That we made policy choices that caused this?

A late post but want to get the word out there! New prelim work using generative AI to simplify hospital discharge instructions is out in npj Digital Medicine! www.nature.com/articles/s41...

The model was able to simplify instructions effectively, but 18% of outputs had a major safety risk.
