Four friends. One robbery. But what price loyalty?

Features #Birmingham, lots of very dark humour, and a bizarre getaway on a #canal boat!

#Writers, which of your books are you most proud of and why?
For me it would be Gravy Train, my comedy noir novel set in Birmingham - had to rewrite a third of it because my publisher doesn't allow MC law enforcement! (better as a result, too)

Using an image, show a movie you are sure you have watched more than ten times 📽️

This one. I can still quote huge chunks of it.

RIP Charles Grodin.

In case anyone's wondering about my header pic, it's from a photo by Harrison Cantel of original street art next to a #Birmingham canal, by artist Lucy McLauchlan. More of her work here: lucy.beat13.co.uk It reminded me of a #PinkFloyd album cover for some reason...

This has to be one of my favourite #noir books of all time - sheer brilliance between two covers. From Blue to Black by Joel Lane (RIP). #birmingham #rockmusic #paranormal

Hard to believe my first book baby is almost exactly 7 years old! Still seems as popular as ever, though, as this new 5-star review shows.

"...dark and funny..." "some very humorous interludes"
