Opinionated but interested in other opinionated people.

Clinical researcher. Mother. SEND advocate. Wine drinker. Church of England. Slow Runner. Sport watcher, not do-er. Lists in no particular order.
And this is why blanket policies dont work. Will we all need to start carrying our birth certificates?? But of course, they can be changed too - maybe the only way to be sure is to all wear trousers with little ‘genital windows’ so we can be checked on demand 🤦🏻‍♀️ www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Imagine a world where ALL mainstream schools have an inclusive ethos… SEND students needn’t have to travel long distances nor have their education uprooted due to their needs if the settings could get it right www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

Good that the SEND crisis might be finally acknowledged- however, as the need for EHCPs has increased 140% in the last 10 yrs, perhaps we need to look at the WHOLE education system rather than just SEND? We need inclusive classrooms and early interventions now. www.theguardian.com/education/20...

@lewisgoodall.com I’m just catching up on your show. Mad how many people are perfectly happy to share their WhatsApp messages widely - you’ll have to prise my phone out of my cold dead hands 😂😂… need to switch off while i look up the auto-delete feature!

Forgot what it was like to wake up each morning to a new batshit headline, each getting progressively worse.

Now I recall. It’s kinda like a second pregnancy. You remember labour was painful, but only truely remember how bad it was once it starts.

And we’re only 1cm dilated.

I was looking at the list of items Canadians are being asked to consider avoiding… it’s extensive.

Makes me think, would it even be possible to completely avoid US products in the UK???

Not one word a surprise here - special educational needs provision in England is in a woeful state. Took a year to get an appropriate place for my daughter - and we’re one of the lucky ones. There is no postcode lottery - up and down the country its just terrible www.theguardian.com/education/20...

My local GP surgery had no appointments last week and I’ve just been notified no appointments this week either. People delaying routine care will only contribute to future waiting lists. Frightening and very sad.
