Interesting point. Personally, I've always distinguished between these two genres of text, adaptations referring to taking something in one art form and translating it to another (most frequently literature to screen or stage) (1)

Weird mom tip: I bought a tube of lanolin when I was nursing (need I say more), and found it's the best lip mask ever. I put it on at bedtime and it's still on in the morning, and my lips have never been healthier. Bonus: a normal sized tube lasts forever
