It breaks my heart what happened there. I lived in Fairview (Hickory Nut Gap), did school out in the NW edge of Asheville, and have friends in the surrounding areas. 😢

Yep. For real. I deeply miss my time living in western North Carolina (in and near Asheville, an impressively progressive part of the state) and I have dear friends there but I wouldn't go back now.
