Alright, my last thought im sharing this morning of my Stella (there will be many more over the years), is how she adjusted to the kids growing. Even in a relatively short time, our youngest's growth spurt had Stella still being like, 'BOY come here and let me get kisses, you not grown!' lol daily

i get up (on muscle memory) at 4am (central) every day (weekend too). Stella would greet me, and we'd share our morning beverages together. My coffee and her fresh water bowl. Then she'd quietly snooze while I wrote. She was there when I started my audio drama and light novel. Big player 2 energy.

there is a lot of pictures of all of us in various states of 'nap' with our dog, Stella. She was an equal Opp cuddler and napper. I remember plenty of times waking up from a nap and not being able to move other than to watch tv--because my kids AND Stella had converted my body into a mattress. ^ _ ^

i dun think her previous owners (outside of basic training) really socialized Stella all that well. So, she could be around other dogs, but she was so awkward with them. She preferred to greet and the quick sniff and go. She enjoyed being around little kids though. I feel like she was a showoff lol

when we first got Stella-we had to adjust to her protective nature with the kids--particularly our youngest son. hard knocks at the door with him around, and Stella would immediately place herself in front of him and bark like, 'DO YOUR WORST SCUM' lol but like-every time someone knocked too hard XD

been reflecting on a lot of good times with Stella. She was lol really a peach. Cuddle bug and adventure pal. As she got older, I'd take her outside to move around and after a while she'd lie on the grass and stare up and out at the sky. She used to just have this look of contentment. And her eyes..

man, my dog passed away. i dunno really how to handle grief this morning, cuz I cried for like two hours last night. RIP to Stella--the realest German Shep/Mixed thug and goofy, a guy could ever want. I just know she is getting all the chicken and rice she wants. And her favorite snacks on demand.💔
