Corn in a Clownfield, now that would be pretty unsettling. A field of clowns growing for acre upon acre. Suddenly someone discovers a solitary stalk of corn among them. I would not fuck with that corn no sir.

Excitedly showing my unimpressed cat a series of AI videos of what her littermates might be doing today, telling us about their life philosophy, their favorite bands, things of that nature

Because it feels relevant as we continue to evaluate the media and our representatives’ statements, my favorite way to identify the active vs. passive voice.
A post by Rebecca Johnson:
“I finally learned how to teach my guys to ID the passive voice. If you can insert "by zombies" after the verb, you have passive voice.”

A tumblr respond from mightymur:
“The final, brilliant word on passive voice.
"She was killed [by zombies.]"<--passive
"Zombies killed [by zombies] her." <-- active”

Compassion fatigue is a real thing, but in the context of people who work hospice and healthcare and people who do support services for basically anything deeply depressing where you get to know about the worst aspects of death/disability.

It is not about people seeing homeless people lol.

Reading about Democrats who agree with Trump's plan to forcibly commit homeless people

In which we're tsidetracked by a tsunami, chroming our chrskull, and clowning around with reactionary clods

Today for patrons I've some archival writing on the films Vinyan, Laid to Rest, and Terrifier

www.patreon.com/posts/140716...
Vinyan: A woman stands on a path in the jungle Laid to Rest: A tall shadowy figure carries a body between two cars on a green-lit and foggy night. Terrifier: An obnoxious blonde tempts fate by sitting on a stoic Art the Clown's lap for a selfie in melodramatic pose inside a restaurant.

Streets are still closed off in front of the Portland ICE facility at 8:30pm. Protesters have gathered on a side street. Dance party in progress.

It builds character, a necessary part of machine cohabitation

Just as "Psycho" stopped me from being willing to take a shower the rest of my life, ever since seeing the 1987 horror film Hellraiser and moderately superior sequel from the following year, I have had a strong aversion to the idea of experiencing hell and would never go there.

Or when people say "but you should go see this film because it's about something." Every film is about something, it's just that some have the good grace to actually be worth watching too.

One thing that drives me bonkers is all the people who attempt film analysis of "you all say you want original films and here's an original film you all didn't go see."

That's not enough. It also has to be an original film that inspires people to leave their homes and open their wallets.

Hellraiser is a Christmas movie (families in the process of being torn apart, people wishing for things and getting the shitty version of what they meant)

Given the choice, I would not have shot Bambi's mother, no.

Someone should take the "Jesus wept" moment at the end of Hellraiser and dub in the "time fliiiiies" moment from the end of "Head Over Heels" by Tears for Fears.

They don't call me "Pinhead" for nothing. In fact, they don't call me that at all. You might be thinking of the primary antagonist from the Hellraiser series of films & print media. Interestingly, the character was not originally called that nor was he intended as a mainstay or "leader"of cenobites.

The CBS takeover by Larry Ellison and Bari Weiss is the most foreboding move in a while, and I’m not saying that lightly.

It will have an effect on the 2026 elections: CBS will now lie to people and normies will believe it.
