If memory serves, Matador is the blockchain twitter/bluesky equivalent. I used it when it first came out; might be worth a try again.

Maybe you're just looking around at the wrong time?

Ooh, merry christmas to me! Thank you!

Excellent tip. It also crops up a lot with unclear character perspectives esp. with characters of the same gender. I write third person ensemble cast SciFi, with multiple perspectives per chapter, and have constantly check to make sure the voice is obvious. Thank the void for my editor.

The worst part was that I thought it was so well hidden until a friend told me she was struggling to read one of my books because she knew what I was going through and the parallels were too real.

I write SCIFI!

Half are former intelligence officers, one was wrongfully imprisoned for 5 years, another for 2 years. They all lived through a decade plus of active duty in a galactic war. Yeah... trust is in short supply 😆

2/2
Spook (Rina): Of COURSE she deserves compliments. She'll still break you though
Geist (Zahir): There is ALWAYS an ulterior motive
Phantom (Elijah): Internally awkward as hell. Externally nonplussed
Spirit (Matt): Gracious, accepting, similarly complimentary
Patch (Talia): Wait, what?!

1/2 Ooh, nice!
I have an ensemble cast so:
Wraith (Ash): Deeply accepting from found family, deeply suspicious of motives otherwise
Shade (Zane): May not trust them, but ACTS like he accepts them as his due
Revenant (Kael): Suspicious but gracious. He'll definitely file it somewhere for future use

I would love to get a Booktokker doing an unhinged review of my book(s). That more than book sales numbers would be a huge achievement for me because it means that someone has really resonated with my story.
