In the hospital, there are certainly many options before you would consider restraining a child, but an ambulance may not have the same tools in a crisis. In no way was it ideal, but bronchiolitis can be a serious emergency, if they saw something that worried them, they likely did their best

I’m sorry that happened, that sounds awful. The short answer is, rarely, if it seems like a genuine crisis and things are looking very scary (which I imagine was the case), you do what you need to do in order to administer the right treatment 1/2

Sorry Joel. That can be so scary. Hopefully things are getting better. My wife is a PICU doctor and takes care of this routinely if you have any questions or are in need of guidance
