I wonder if the RAM price gouging will make software devs consider memory use in their apps.
Sure there are many reasons you’d need 32+GB in a machine but a chat application shouldn’t need 1GB to itself. Most text, spreadsheet or web work should fit in 8GB, but it doesn’t.

Huh. PBTech has PCI (non-express) Ethernet cards. Must be new old stock because the page says driver support from Windows 98 to Vista.
However exactly what I need since it uses the RTL8139 chipset and almost everything has drivers for that by now!

I was wondering about my response to opiates, because I know codeine does very little for me, and post-op they had to give me the max dose of morphine for any sort of pain relief.
Since I've had my DNA sequenced I looked. I have a half-functioning CYP2D6 which explains codeine/tramadol not working

Gallbladder attack on Sunday night. Ultrasound on Monday, surgery Tuesday, and since I’m mobile with no complications home on Wednesday.
Direct cost to me? Nothing.

I wish the media would report on what it actually takes to get puberty blockers prescribed.
You need parent/guardian agreement except in exceptional cases, significant and continued expression of gender incongruence, and to be starting puberty.

It’s amazing how having the attending physician and residents turn up to do your diagnosis is exactly how Scrubs portrayed it.

figured out how to make the sd ide work in my PowerMac 7220 (reformat the card), installed MacOS 8 (the macos 7.5 installer for the machine didn’t believe you could have a 16gb HDD…), and it runs! I can play the bundled Barenaked Ladies music video!
