Combat sports, basketball, and library services. @gczeus on the former 🕊️app.
That to me would be a better swing at stimulating local economies than paying the UFC millions of dollars to go to A.C.

If you're weekend warrior, you're catching getting a train there.

Continuing on - some of the connects don't tell the full story. For example, the Columbia trail. Great trail. Pretty popular. And it's near High Bridge station! Raritan Line. The thing is that the trains to High Bridge run exclusively during weekdays.

At least Almabayev isn't going to punch a hole throw his head but i don't like these quick turnarounds just cause you feel you need to get one back.

Not dissimilar to how she got Rose down. Love a good arm drag.

I saw a few people mentioning the Rockland coaches when I was looking around. Never taken it myself. Just found it really funny cause there are dozens of NJT buses that go over the place every day.

No Wharton, Byrne, or Penn.

You know what else is missing? The PINE BARRENS! Home of the Jersey Devil. There is 1 bus that stops anyway near the park - the 559 which stops at Bass River state park via US Highway 9.

The view from the top of the Stairway to Heaven in Wawayanda is one of my favorite views in the state. It is transit inaccessible. No bus or train comes within miles of the place. And even if you have a car, there’s like 15 parking spots if you’re trying to hike Pichel valley.

Henry Hudson drive is a long ass driving road. You CAN walk it relatively safely but to get to the most popular part of the park is a 6-7 mile hike, before the actual trail. Not to mention the walk back to the bus stop.

Palisades Interstate Park, which is under the GWB, is also car (or bike) dependent. Entrance to Alpine lookout is only available via 9W, a highway. The closest nj transit bus (156) stop does drop you off at the south entrance of the park in edgewater. But…

Mt Tammany has 0 public transit options on the NJ side. Hell, you can’t even walk to it if you live in Knowlton, the town that it is technically part of. You can only legally walk there from the PA side.

To get to Ramapo, you can take the Main or Bergen line to Mahwah, but it’s a 2 mile walk/bike ride from the station to the entrance area near the campus with large parts of it having 0 sidewalk or shoulders. There is a bus that goes thru the park (196), but doesn’t have its 1st stop til Wayne.

But the other 4 - the Delaware Water Gap (specifically Mt Tammany), Palisades Interstate Park, Ramapo Mountain State Forest, and Wawayanda State Forest are not on the list cause there’s so little or no service that takes you close by.
