Ngl I feel like we need to take a more collectivist approach to feminism, women's lib, and trans lib at this point. The ultimate feminist choices should be class solidarity between women and other marginalized genders, building empathy for one another, and building fronts for collective action

This is one of the reasons why I balk at the idea that men are afraid to be perceived as abusive. In many cases, that perception is actually key to their success, because other people strive to make excuses for their behavior, deny it, redeem them, and elevate them in the process.

Sometimes I think about what some of the people I've left behind think about me being in a "het passing" relationship now (neither of us are cis or het), but then I remember that if they don't support me finally being with someone who treats me with empathy, they can go fuck themselves lol

Like something tells me that perhaps we as a culture don't actually respect victims of sexual violence beyond their purpose as rhetorical devices bc what is wrong with some of you
"Slave labor is bad? Well what if your rapists were doing the slave labor (ignore everyone incarcerated for nonviolent crimes)" "Oh, critical of the government? Well without laws I'd rape you specifically" and "Transvestigate your roommate bc they might rape you. If you don't, you're cheating"

Half a year on from my most recent abusive relationship (and hopefully last!) and from the start of DBT, I'm for once actually content with putting on some weight and becoming healthier. I finally feel like I'm pulling myself out of this pit I've been stuck in for as long as I can remember

smaller things first and then work our way from there to start helping people understand accountability and changing for larger things isn't dangerous either. Idk I'm open to critique for this, however
I do, however, think that hierarchy first and foremost is the tools these abusers use and I don't think it actually helps us in the long run (in fact it might put victims in more danger!) to use it to our advantage. Which is why I think it's a good idea to try and destigmatize accountability for 5/?
this to perpetrators of more extreme harm. I don't think I'm quite ready or educated enough yet to understand how to address accountability with abusers, and I do think we should still prioritize the safety of victims first and foremost bc society protects abusers enough already. 4/?
