Sure, but it takes one small step from that to get to the "it's an artificial thing made to enjoy the servitude or lack the ability to care about it or something", and then you conscience is put at rest.

In retrospect it is kinda scary how many times in my pre transition life i've been just a vague sense of wrongness away from dropping down one right wing pipeline or another.

It is kinda consistent with the lingvo pr-minding bureaucrats tend to use in the fields like rocket science.
RUD/Anomaly instead of "it blew up", safing operation instead of "cleaning up the mess", and so on.
Not sure grok would be able to come up with that, it takes the other kind of AI.

It used to be more common in the older games, and i carried the habit well into this century. Damn near half of the manufacturers screw up the numpad one way or another these days, even when it's an explicit feature like on Framework laptop.
