A snide comment prompted some reflection and writing from me on the blog. Many thanks to everyone who responded initially, and I hope this reassures many more that nobody can 'age out' of #goth!

Goth: The Oldest Youth Subculture

What I want to speak to is this concept of punishing those who dare to age – particularly in the goth scene. A scene that has, since existence, actually tried hard to venerate its veterans.

"Walk Away", the eighth single by #TheSistersOfMercy was released on this day in 1984. The song itself was only the second recorded with Wayne Hussey and is rumoured to refer to the worsening relationship between Eldritch and Marx - who would indeed walk away from the band less than a year later.
