The Sun used to be a coffee shop and lunchroom staple, but I seldom see it anymore. It's thin with little content. I wonder how much longer it can keep going in its current form... People looking for a good newspaper have better options, and people looking for blog content can just get it online.

The Sun rented out their Church Avenue HQ to Elections Canada to use as the Winnipeg North returning office in the last federal election. I went in there and it gave off abandoned vibes, with few signs of the newspaper that once occupied it. I'm not sure what's in there now, though

Since Kevin Klein bought the paper it has gone from being a typical Sun tabloid into an unusual broadsheet focused heavily on blog-style opinion, and light on content generally. It uses Postmedia copy to flesh out the pages a little. There is still a sports section anchored by Paul Friesen.
