Just a PSA, this is wood STAIN, meant to adjust the color of wood. It is not a wood FINISH, which seals and protects the wood, and is applied after the stain has dried

If you only use stain, your piece will have a dull finish and the stain will likely rub off on anything it touches

Also, STAINING IS NOT A NECESSARY STEP!

Your piece will often look worse if you're trying to significantly change the color of the wood, especially if it's pine, as shown here ⬇️

If you want a dark color for your wood, your best bet is to use a dark wood to begin with, like walnut
