I once freaked out Hugo Weaving
The 90s weren’t perfect, but they did give us a film where Harrison Ford and Sean Bean fight to the death - and that’s more than enough.

Maybe we should all, as a society, agree to take four days off buying bananas - allow the entire stock rotation to refresh and then maybe it might be possible to actually buy ripe bananas again? Because it’s been so long now that it’s starting to feel like a childhood memory! (64% joking)

I watched all the Frasier Christmas episodes, and they really fit the flow of the shows quality in a condensed timeline - from the lovable and mawkish first, to the genuinely excellent run, to the well written but tired, to the sadly lacking, and finally the surprisingly strong and funny finish.

Is there a word for ‘I’m hungry and want dinner, but also just finished cleaning the kitchen and would rather starve than mess it up again’?

I’ll give this to the gremlins, they are very community orientated

The Good Place is the best show of the last decade, and Ted Danson should have won everything - Emmy’s, SAGs, Golden Globes, Oscars, Pulitzers, Nobels, Beauty Contests, Deal or No Deal, Monopoly, Arms Wrestles, Thumb Wars, The Warner Bros. bidding war, The Great British Bake Off - EVERYTHING!!!!

Fridges are amazing and we really just take them for granted.

At any given time there’s at least 74 different films that I want to be currently watching

Every now and again I’ll be doing something very repetitive and dull at work, bored out of my mind, but then I’ll think ‘well, could be worse, at least I’m not still watching Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning ‘ and then suddenly my work doesn’t seem that dull anymore.

Bruce Springsteen Electric Nebraska - Downbound Train is exactly what you want from an alternate take from the vault - it’s a fun, wildly different, interesting version that’s great to listen to whilst being completely inferior to the originally released track

A great little throwaway Simpsons joke that I think about at least once every couple of months

Hey immune system, I just want to have a chat, and I feel like we’ve had this conversation before. I understand that you get confused, and you see gluten and you think ‘danger!’ But I just want to assure you, it’s just a protein, it’s fine, you can just be cool about it. Please stop attacking me

I just finished season one of The Pitt and am definitely joining the bandwagon here, it really is excellent.
The writing, the direction, and the cast are just superb. Noah Wyle is awesome.
And it has a really beautiful representation of autism.

No disrespect to Lindsay Buckingham or Fleetwood Mac - but it’s now been a decade since I learnt that the line in Go Your Own Way is ‘You can call it another lonely day’ and not, as I’ve always sung, ‘You can call it thunder, but don’t you dare’ but I still prefer my version and am sticking with it

Honestly, drinking beer, listening to Tom Petty, and cooking birthday cakes is an underrated aspect of parenthood

Arguments for imputed rent being part of tax reform in Australia make a lot of sense except that the economy relies so heavily on interest rates hurting home owners to keep inflation in check. We struggle through this for the reward of imputed rent - it’s hard earned
'Imputed rent' and what it could mean for a fairer Australia
As industry leaders and the federal government prepare for next week's economic summit, two economists have started a national conversation by arguing that, to make Australia's tax system fairer, we s...

Obviously the only real response to this whole Sydney Sweeney jeans quagmire is to remind everyone that Bonnie and Clyde had some really good Genes

Genuinely feeling that there needs to be an explanation for Kramer’s source of income in Seinfeld is like wishing they would explain just how a flux capacitor makes time travel possible.

Why do people say ‘slept like a baby’ like it’s a good thing?!? Babies are terrible at sleeping, and take everyone down with them! It should be ‘slept like a four year old’ those kids know where it’s at!

I’m working my way through Bruce Springsteen’s 7 album drop Tracks II The Lost Albums - and damn does Faithless, the soundtrack to a movie that never was, just pop! Can someone please make a western for him to compose another soundtrack to?!?

Nothing like that feeling when you finally crawl into bed, exhausted, so excited for sleep, and you reach over to turn the lamp off only to realise that no, it’s the actual room light that’s on, and now you have to get out of bed to go turn it off.
The temptation to just throw my phone at it is real

Mission: Impossible: The Final Reckoning is one of the most boring films I’ve ever seen, no exaggeration. The first two hours are so dull it’s painful, and then frankly, as impressive as the stunt work is, it’s not that interesting as action. Bah! It and Dead Reckoning were such a disappointment.

Having to wait a whole day for my audible account to give me my next monthly credit so I can get The Two Towers is both completely and utterly reasonable and also, the greatest injustice in history.
