It's like the fucking chicken and the egg. Or like two fighting children, hurling insults, screaming "he started it!" "No he started it!" To which the punishment falls on both, every time. Even if one was minding their own business while the other kicked sand in their eyes, just for fun.

There was a long time where, as much as I wanted flowers from partners, I considered it bad luck. The flowers would wilt, and I believed our love would follow.
Now I see it differently. While they may wilt, there will be more flowers. Good things come and go, but there will always be more good.
