There’s a social media effect going on, I think. The moments where plans get derailed and hijinks ensue are the moments that get the most attention online.

This can lead people to think “chaos” is the goal rather than something that arises naturally from a group of people improvising together.

Unless the mass of villagers were blindsided and shown that human sacrifice without a content warning, I’m not sure this tracks.

Underrated: Something I like that not many others know about

Appropriately Rated: Something I haven’t checked out yet but that others seem to like (that’s cool I guess)

Overrated: Something I haven’t honestly engaged with but it won an award over something else that I liked more so now I’m pissed

Less "one lone voice of reason," and more "there's an asshole in every crowd."
