OF COURSE violence is abhorrent and OF COURSE we should all individually try to make the world better. What we don’t need is a lecture about it from a TV and movie personality who is part of machine that creates the billionaires that are burning the world.

And it’s so disingenuous to act like you don’t understand why people resort to violence. Of course they do! Nothing else has ever worked! That’s not a failing of the individual, it’s a failing of the whole of this bullshit world we’re all forced to live in.

Like it can’t be both. It can’t be “if you want change, make it” AND “I’m just a talk show host and movie star; I can’t do anything about anything.”

And b) if change is so easy, why haven’t you made it yet? With your millions in movie and tv earnings and your daily daytime network platform?

Like a) as if we live in a world where a young person without money and influence can do anything about the healthcare system or the way we’re currently being governed or literally anything else.
