Nothing is more indicative of how authoritarian the political culture of the GOP has become than the fact that over the past few months its elected leaders have basically turned it over to an unelected rich guy who has threatened to primary them if they disobey orders. And no one has complained.

Some like me started working before IRAs. Counting on that $$ to survive my old age. It's appalling to see billionaires foaming at the mouth thinking of ways to manipulate it and make us suffer and fret in our golden years so they can play with it. While my pension goes to insurance 😒
