I haven't heard from GDQ saying if they want me as an Engineer for AGDQ, which is expected. I did say I was only available for half the event (since MAGFest is at the same time) but it still makes me sad

I had a meeting with a lawyer today for something that’s not relevant. But when I stood up the shake his hand, he looked at me like I was crazy. He said no one has ever done that before which is wild. I always make sure to stand and greet anyone entering the room, let alone someone who’s helping me

So, I never financially recovered after my lay off and have been living paycheck to paycheck since getting a job in January that was 30,000 less a year than my last job. I made the mistake of trying to do a debt restructuring program, and that absolutely wrecked me.

The orange idiot removing the de minimis exemption for small imports really sucks. I enjoyed ordering items from Japan and having them shipped here occasionally, now the service I use won't do that anymore.

Feeling particularly useless and unaccomplished. Looking at my bank account in the negative and knowing that I owe friends money because they helped me just makes me feel like I failed as a person. Combine that with me just sitting in a depression mess in my apartment and it’s just not a good day.

I have to say that I didn't expect my pay for my new position at work to be barely an annual review raise higher than my current position. $4k/yr more is basically like getting an annual review in my current position, with less responsibility

Why doesn’t Twitch expose the separate audio tracks streamers are sending (via the OBS feature) to the player? I’d love to write something which allows people to adjust the volumes of the tracks individually, since Twitch doesn’t already.
