Type of work: Volunteer
Hiring: BG artist (IMG_1697 and/or The Theatre)

A bit about the projects:
In October 2025, I released my mystery horror VN IMG_1697. It isn't quite complete, since l want to add more art assets. One thing I want to do is to replace the stock photo BGs with art. Simply put, I feel like stock photos diminish the atmosphere I want with my VNs, and having custom BG art would be beneficial.
However, this would basically require a complete overhaul of IMG_1697's
backgrounds, and it has a lot. I'm looking for an artist to assist me in replacing IMG_1697's BGs with custom art. This 1.0 update will be worked on at whatever pace needed, though my ideal release is around Fall 2026. More details in the requirements below.

Additionally, I'm looking for a BG artist to help out with the VN I'm working on, a black comedy horror called The Theatre, revolving around a bunch of horrible people trapped inside a movie theater. I'm still writing it right now, but my goal is to get a first build/demo out by Spring 2026. After that, the artist may work at their own pace. This demo's word count may fall in the 10k-20k range.
Fortunately for me and the BG artist, unlike IMG_1697, The Theatre takes place almost entirely inside a single building, so this should theoretically call for less backgrounds.

-Artist must be comfortable drawing nature, buildings with different types of architecture (Gothic, old brick building of New England, etc), interior design
-Ideally I'm looking for a sort of painterly style, but I'm willing to adapt.
-Artist must be comfortable working with deadlines
-Attention to detail is essential (this includes alternate versions of existing BGs)
