I find this characterization a bit unfair. I have no love for VMRO-DPMNE, but those funds would have done nothing to further their EU aspirations even if they hadn't been embezzled because Greece still would have vetoed their accession on the basis that they feel their identity is illegitimate.
We once gave North Macedonia several billions in E.U development funds to build infrastructure in an effort to advance their E.U aspirations. They used the money to build replica Greek temples in a flood basin, with a statue of Alexander the Great pointing a sword at Greece.

Dangerous thing to post, but I LIKED Gladiator 2. I LIKED the speeches akin to what a high school football coach would give. I LIKED the grotesqueness and sharks in the colosseum. I LIKED the melodrama. And most importantly, I LOVED Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, and Paul Mescal!!!
