Day 10 - Restorative justice isn’t forgiving and forgetting. It includes naming the harm, understanding its impact, taking responsibility, repairing what can be repaired, and rebuilding trust when it's safe to do so.

Call to action: Share what you know about Restorative Justice.
December 4, 2025 at 1:06 PM
Day 9 - Violence thrives in silence. When communities are built and people support each other, with compassion instead of judgment, people are less likely to fall through the cracks and we can end the harm they experience.

Call to action: Check on someone you're worried about today.

Vicarious trauma is real. You can't listen to the stories of abuse, loss, and violence every day, expecting to walk away untouched. This training shows you how to protect yourself while still showing up for others.

Day 8 - Recognizing coercive control
Not all violence leaves bruises. Coercive control counts - this includes isolation, controlling behaviors, threats, and monitoring. These are often precursors to worse harm.

Call to action: Ask "are they making your world smaller?" If yes, reach out for support.

Restorative justice doesn't excuse abuse - it addresses the root causes. It's about ending harm, not ignoring it.
It takes courage to look at harm and choose to change instead of hide. Do you think people can learn to stop using abusive behaviours?

Day 7 - Violence in the home

Home is meant to be safe, yet most gendered violence happens behind closed doors. Normalizing conversations about harm in families is one of the strongest prevention tools we have.

Call to action: Share resources for domestic violence services in your community.

Day 6 - Preventing gendered violence includes holding spaces for men to unlearn harmful patterns and step into healthier versions of themselves. We don't prevent violence by demonizing it. We prevent it by transforming. Encourage men in your life to talk openly about emotions, conflict, and respect.

Day 5 - Young people are absorbing everything - how adults talk, fight, apologize, or avoid. They're watching the world model what "love" looks like, and it sticks for them.
Kids don't just "grow out of it". They grow from what they see.
Model the kind of care you want them to show others.

Remember that you don't have to be "on" all the time.
What's one small thing you do on low-energy days that actually helps you keep going?

Day 4 - Healthy relationships are learned

Nobody is born knowing own to communicate, set boundaries, or repair from conflict. Building these skills makes communities safer and prevents domestic violence.

Call to action: Share one relationship skill you wish you were taught earlier.
November 28, 2025 at 1:06 PM
Day 3 - Listening is free. Believing someone can literally change their lives. Survivors don't need you to be perfect in what you say to them, they need you to care and take them seriously to make space for healing.

Practice saying "I hear you. I believe you. What do you need right now?"
November 27, 2025 at 1:06 PM
Day 2 - Naming roots of harm
Gendered violence doesn't come out of nowhere. It's shaped by power and inequality. Prevention is about dismantling the systems that taught these behaviours as "normal".
Ask yourself: what beliefs or jokes do I excuse that actually reinforce harm?
