Middling pixel art skills aside, this is what I mean. I needed a shop, found a good example of a local shop, and voila. It’s basically a bridge for the part of the process that people who hate art and creativity and humanity and joy use AI for.

Protip for doing 2D top-down game art: open the Apple Maps app and swipe with two fingers to enter 3D mode, then switch to Satellite view. If you tilt down as far as possible, you get pretty close to a 3/4 view. Plus the low-res textures abstract details, great for translating to pixel art!

as a Steam user for 15+ years, this is what finally got me to sign up for GOG. it's not that Steam shouldn't have marketplace content guidelines—it should—it's the ambiguity and hypocrisy in enforcing their rules, plus the disrespect shown towards devs making a good-faith effort to work with them.

I'm no expert but surely there's a more effective way to fix all this AI slop than Photoshopping the right logo by hand in every frame? Like there's no software that you can use to map and track that perspective over time?

Multiple apps, including Chrome and VSCode, are going to stop supporting MacOS Big Sur soon. My 2013 MacBook Pro, which is still cruising along with a replaced battery and 1TB SSD upgrade, is going to become obsolete even though the hardware is well within support for both apps.
Is it Linux time?
