I was at MANY of these stops. Here’s what would happen: the agents would stand guard at the cars, Bovino would literally pose out front while people yelled at him. It was a pathetic, obvious attempt to antagonize neighbors - they transited three gas stations and did the exact same thing thrice.

I think people underestimate how big this is. Like a city-wide strike is not something that has happened in the US for nearly 100 years

You cannot overstate how startling it is to see a politician just say the thing with clarity and poise. No fearful hemming. No overwrought qualifying down til it’s meaningless. No lingering sense that there is a loyalty to a donor class or an ideology of stasis that they’d never admit to.

Current events has me thinking about how some bees use their numbers to engulf giant wasps. They then vibrate, using their body heat to cook the wasps alive. A 2 degree difference in heat tolerance allows the bees the ability to survive as long as they are precise enough. It’s pretty rad.
