i played for judging this and liked it. super sad for Santa Ragione, and the general state of game censorship. re: Steam in particular, a landscape where everyone has to depend on a totally unaccountable monopoly to survive is not one that benefits artists in any way.
Our upcoming game HORSES was preemptively banned from Steam, with no path to appeal. The game will still launch next week on December 2nd and will be available on EGS, GOG, Humble, and Itch for $4.99. Here is a detailed FAQ covering what happened: horses.wtf/BannedFromSt...

The fact that itch posted this and not even an hour later I got a bunch of new sales proves how big it is when other people talk about your games.

It can literally be a life changing events.

When John Harper made a nice quote tweet about Breathless, hundreds of people looked at the game.

WHY BE STINGY WITH IT! Amazing, 10/10, everybody take notes.
Credits are basically a free space. Players will watch them or not. Those who do will come to understand how each person participated. We also credit everyone who ever touched the game in any way. This means for a relatively small team our credits are long. But who cares? Why be stingy with it?

There’s a million books in my backlog but instead I’m reading the 1990 novelization of Metal Gear, part of the Worlds of Power series, where Solid Snake gets on all fours and pretends to be a panther to scare away attack dogs

Eleven years ago, I had the nicest, intimate conversation with Udo. When an infamously pushy event-crasher tried to nudge his way into our chat by sitting down and awkwardly snickering at a joke Udo had just told me, he turned and went, "Why are you laughing?! That wasn't for you! Fuck off!" LEGEND.

Thinking too much about if there's any bands of 3+ people where each member wrote a book about their time in the band. Both The Smiths and New Order come very close. This is a very goofy thought spiral where I would probably have to read at least one book by a very obnoxious person.

I was up at 2 am checking out @subvert.fm. (I'm member #1,000.) The site was amazingly glitch free for an alpha version. I bought 2 albums and downloaded a free track. Artists get 100% of the release purchase price (sometimes discounted for members), but I added a little extra to support the site.

Btw, are there modern indie games with eurodance soundtracks? If there are, I'd like to know their titles. And if there aren't, someone needs to get on that.
I know I have posted this in the past, but I still think that there's no better example of how much I can enjoy a thing that is very objectively bad than the length of my Eurodance playlist. No, no albums in it. Just random songs.
