Book 109 of 2025
10 Dance, Volume 1 by Satoh Inoue

I binged this after watching the movie on Netflix last night and now I’m, like, third in line for the next volume at the library and I’m so upset because I need more! #booksky

Book 108 of 2025
Grace & Henry’s Holiday Movie Marathon by Matthew Norman

I do feel like some subplots either came out of nowhere or weren’t resolved at all, but this gave me the warm and fuzzies, so I had a good time. #booksky

With Die My Love, I accomplished my goal of hitting 5,000 movies watched on my Letterboxd by the end of the year. #filmsky

Book 107 of 2025
The Merriest Misters by Timothy Janovsky

This one was a bit of a surprise, actually. I expected a retelling of the Santa Clause, but it was more about gender identity and marriage and the magic we lose as adults. I had a good time with it. #booksky

Book 106 of 2025
Set the Record Straight by Hannah Bonan-Young

I know it’s a novella, but did it have to be so basic and uninspired? Maybe I just ask too much of my romances. I just wish it had more depth and more character development on Clara’s end. #booksky

Book 105 of 2025
Shy Girl by Mia Ballard

I was on the library waitlist for this book for 5 months and I wish I could say it was worth it. The first half of this book is so boring because it’s all build-up. The book doesn’t start until that halfway point and that endlessly frustrates me. #booksky

Book 104 of 2025
Cruel Winter With You by Ali Hazelwood

I love how much lore AH puts gives her characters, even in her short stories. Marc is just the sweetest and most down-bad guy, and I love everything about him. #booksky

Book 103 of 2025
Toe to Toe by Falon Ballard (ARC)

I’m so bummed about this book. It started so strongly, had such steamy scenes, but then the insta-love set in and it completely lost me. The third-act conflict aggravated me, too; all it did was prove a certain character’s immaturity. #booksky

Book 102 of 2025
Holiday Romance by Catherine Walsh

The first Christmas read of the season and it was fantastic! I love a friends-to-lovers romance done well and this one was done well. Can’t wait to read the companion book. #booksky

Book 101 of 2025
Isn’t It Obvious? by Rachel Ruby’s Katz

This was cute - and I desperately want to watch You’ve Got Mail now - I didn’t make any emotional connection to the characters or the story. I do plan on looking at the author’s backlist, though. #booksky

I’ve read 100 books in a single year for the first time since I started recording my reading journey ten years ago! I can’t believe it! And I still have five weeks left of the year. #booksky

Book 100 (!) of 2025
Overdue by Stephanie Perkins

I loved this! I enjoyed Perkins’ YA books when I was younger, so this was a nice surprise as an adult. Sentimental and emotional and uplifting. #booksky

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched It’s mid-November, which means a mad binge of all the movies I’ve missed so far this year.

Book 99 of 2025
When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy

My first entry on my horror bingo board! This is my first Nat Cassidy book and boy, was it a wild ride. I’m still confuddled by that ending, but I liked it well enough that I’ll definitely seek out more of his books in the future. #booksky

Book 98 of 2025
Playing for Keeps by Alexandria Bellefleur (ARC)

Had I known this was coworkers-with-benefits, honestly, I don’t think I would’ve picked this one up. I’ve loved Bellefleur’s books in the past, but this is yet another new one that didn’t work for me. #booksky

Kooky Spooky Love by Josie Silver

I didn’t love this as much as Crazy Spooky Love - I still REALLY dislike the love interest - but I still had fun. #booksky

It took me 2 weeks, but I finally went through my grandmother’s 600+ book library and these are the books I decided to keep for my own collection. I’m most excited about the Ishmael Reed, though the Genji graphic novel is gonna be interesting, too. #booksky

Book 96 of 2025
The Future Saints by Ashley Winstead (ARC)

I’ve liked Winstead’s romances in the past, but this one didn’t do it for me. Something about the the lack of character depth kept me at an emotional distance from the story. I needed more, from the whole book. #booksky
