A plague came to the Kingdom of Silly
It made the Candy People sing trilly
Until they ran out of breath and dropped dead
It was a terrible sound that did spread
Quite quickly through the unchecked well water
Many died father, son, mother, daughter.

The jester did quite like very fine things
He brought gold crowns and tons of silver rings
He brought rubies and emeralds and pearls
And houses and food stuffs and pretty girls
‘Til one day he looked at his pile of gold
And realized it had gotten very low.

The jester did quite like very fine things
He brought gold crowns and tons of silver rings
He brought rubies and emeralds and pearls

“We should name this vast puddle after me!”
The Candy People turned to each other
And someone did fetch the cartographer
