I love a good thunderstorm but it would be nice if my National Weather Service could accurately report the weather like it used to before the horsemen of the apocalypse of this administration.

This weekend I made a bonfire cake for a bonfire party. It was black cocoa cake with a vanilla and orange/malort (for my millenial pals…I’m not normally a fan of that particular potion, but I liked this a lot!) cream filling with chocolate buttercream icing and vanilla flames.

In The Night Kitchen at The Scary Godmother’s House….My first attempt at milkbread danish. Flavors are sweet Goat cheese with various jams. There’s a couple raspberry, gooseberry, blood orange marmalade and a couple pistachio cream and a couple of lemon curd.

Got to the Bernie Sanders event in Kenosha too late. Me and I’d say a good thousand people were turned away because they hit capacity much earlier! Good!

OberonCat had a surgery to remove a growth from his tail yesterday. He was groggy and feisty when he got home. Today was a long day of him thwarting every attempt to give him his important meds. (No doses given) Now he watches BritBox and I plan to try again.

OberonCat had a vet visit and he’s going to need a surgery asap for that pesky lump that’s back on his tail. We’re rolling with it. He’s got a great doctor! I’ll keep you posted. He’s my bestie….and a cutie!
