Mmmhmmm. And really, across arenas, it's evident that the disposition or approach to learning gets lost when we're just trying to push for content. Like, how did you arrive at that? What kind of thinking happened beforehand? What were the struggle points? Etc.

This past semester, I ended up building my class as a two-fold operation: the content about the sociology of urban education and the practice of thinking like a sociologist.

Students seemed to find it really helpful, even those who've taken sociology and/or education classes prior to mine.
