While I didnt really accomplish literally a single of my content goals for this year, I spent a lot of time on self improvement, making friends, and hobbies. Even started dating my best friend a week ago and have never been happier.

On one hand I think it's nice that professors give some leniency with handing stuff in, but I also think they're often too lenient. People who hand stuff in late tend to make it a habit, which is enabled by professors passing students who aren't getting stuff done even at a reasonable time.

its also one of those things thats hard to prove, bc even the ai detectors are pretty bad at it. the best tool is the edit history in docs but not everyone uses docs. you could ask for their notes, outlines, etc, you could quiz them on what they wrote. ultimately, it's just a HUGE pain
been getting a LOT of reports about college kids using ai on assignments. while professors will come and talk to me about it, theyre very hesitant to give kids 0s bc its usually more hassle than its worth (in the professors pov). just setting up students to fail in the long run to save their hides

A lot of them think as ai as just a more interactive Google, but the truth of the matter is that its not just a system that collates a massive amount of data, it also very much can be given an agenda by which to interpret the data

I have done a lot of writes and rewrites of the lady layton script and I just can't bring a narrative that I like to it yet. I also don't want it to just be rambly/ explanatory so I'm gonna put it on hold for now. I've tried for about 6 months to get it off the ground with no success.

Had a day off so replayed the Kaito files. Really solid writing and story. I hope rgg goes back to writing lower key character driven stories like this bc I feel like that's when they're at their best.
