Sounds from gentle places to help with rest or sleep.

If you know someone who needs the sound from a real place to keep them company at night, please share this with them.

This is a playlist of our *sleep safe* episodes which don't have water in them.
Non-watery quiet listens
A selection of quiet episodes away from water. Some are officially *sleep safe*, others are not. Good for listening to while resting or trying to get to sleep.

I did not know this. Any of it!
Ladybirds are preparing to hibernate! Norse lore claims they rode to Earth on lightning bolts and associated them with Freya. Like butterflies they were called “Freya’s hens”, possibly because their 7 spots resemble the stars of the Pleiades which shared the name 🌱

At the edge of his woodland, Badger paused to watch the evening light as it danced with the trees.
Recently he’d found himself searching for a new way of viewing the world, thinking of a forgotten way of being.
Whatever he was looking for, moments like this brought him closer.

One of my favourites! (I like the Eps with owls!).
The perfect afternoon listen....

Episode 17 - The cathedral of trees (43 mins)

A summer evening in a clearing in the trees deep in the Forest Of Dean, Gloucestershire. Listen out for owls and the special sound of a woodcock.

Fell asleep to this last night. A natural lullaby.
A quiet place.... 43 minutes of peace.

Episode 161 - Fishing village harbour at night - part 2 (sleep safe)

Sound waves made by water waves. In the dark, they break and the sound reveals the walls and rocks in the harbour.

'C' is for Curlew

Hard to choose just one piece for such a special bird, but this is my absolute favourite. My husband bought it for my 60th birthday.
